Manifesting Your Dream Life

Imagine waking up in a brand new city; the air crisp with the scent of new opportunities, miles of unexplored land stretching all around you, thousands of untried people waiting to converse with you. The time to start a new chapter in life is now. Why settle for being in one place for too long when you have nothing to tie you down any longer? A new adventure awaits.

Recently I made the decision to leave the capital and move to Bristol. Lately, I’ve been struck with such wanderlust and an urgency to have a change of environment. As much as I love London (and most likely will make it my home again in the future), I have been longing to escape the polluted metropolis, in order to ground myself and reconnect with nature.

I knew that there were too many things distracting me from reaching my goals in that environment. The hectic 24/7 lifestyle was only filling my brain with unnecessary stress and after a tiring and troublesome year in 2016, my mind body and soul was aching for a hiatus from big city life.

When I pitched the idea of making such a big move to some of my friends, a few of them received it with worry and doubt. After all, it is a pretty major thing to relocate to a new city with no job secured or many savings. We often hold back from reaching for our dreams due to the perception that we are not capable, feeling unlucky or worrying that it will be stressful. Of course, moving is stressful, but if it is your dream life you can, and will, make it work.

Achieving goals, big or small, is important. Not only for the improved quality of life but to know that you ARE capable - so next time you start to doubt yourself you will look back at a time where you achieved one of your goals as a reminder of what you are capable of.

Another thing that can keep holding us back from manifesting dream lives is feeling guilty or undeserving. Take a step back and ask yourself why you don’t feel as if you deserve to receive your dream. The longer you hold onto the belief of being undeserving, the longer you can expect to be waiting for the dream to become a reality. Remember how the Law of Attraction works - positives attract positives and negatives attract negatives.

So what next? How can I begin to manifest my dreams?

Visualisation techniques are a great way to start manifesting because you are attaching emotions to visual imagines. Your subconscious will pick up on this, and your life will naturally synchronise with working hard to ensure these events happen. Remember that things don’t just magically happen, you do have to be prepared to put some work in. This technique just helps align your vibration to your goal.

Begin by focussing on your breath for a while until you feel relaxed. Think back to a time when you were really happy, perhaps you manifested a previous goal, scored well in a test at school, or got the lead role in a play. Try as best you can to remember every detail of the event using your five senses, and recreate the feeling of the emotions you felt at the time. Now, begin to imagine yourself in your dream environment - be it a new country, city, or even just a house. Imagine how the air smells, how the furniture feels beneath your skin, what the people around you sound like. Imagine exactly how you will feel when you have received your dream goal. Once again it is important to try and really create some strong emotions here whilst visualising. I want you to feel to feel the emotion pumping through your veins. You have to believe it in order for this to work.

Once you are done visualising, release the emotion and let it go.

I hit a lot of obstacles throughout the organisation of my move. Many times I felt like I wasn’t going to make it. I’m not saying it’s going to be an easy journey, but it’s definitely possible as long as you believe in yourself.

It's amazing how being in a new environment can change your perspective on life. Being a stranger on your own in a new city is exciting, simply knowing that there are endless new things to explore and experience.

If you fancy a fresh start then be prepared for any bumps you may hit the road and do not let anything stand in your way. Maintain a positive attitude and mind frame, and never, ever doubt yourself.
