Super Soft Cruelty-Free Makeup Brushes

I’ve been dying to tell you all about these vegan brushes I found a while ago! As a keen makeup enthusiast, I have an extensive collection of cosmetics. Admittedly, not all are cruelty-free, but I have embarked on my journey to turn my makeup kit into a wonderful haven of animal-friendly products! I no longer purchase from unethical brands, but I'm still in the process of using up old products - I'm not about to throw away hundreds of pounds worth of makeup.
I spent months on the lookout for the perfect brush set - I dreamt of a beautiful and gloriously soft set of affordable brushes. It was by chance that I stumbled upon this set. I had been hearing about these Vanity Planet cruelty-free brushes from many beauty gurus on youtube and was beginning to wonder if they really were as great as all these gurus had been making them out to be.
If this is your first time hearing about them, Vanity Planet is a health and beauty brand that aims to combat the idea that beauty is shallow, which I think is really inspiring. There ain’t nothing wrong with pampering yourself and feeling fabulous!
The great thing about this brand is that they always have some amazing discounts on their site. When I bought these brushes around October there was a 70% discount with a referral code meaning I only paid £30 for a set of professional quality brushes - amazing! Unfortunately, this promotion is no longer on, but I highly recommend checking the site out and keeping any eye out for promotions.
I’ve been a proud owner of this set for about 6 months and I really do commend Vanity Planet for the long lasting quality of these brushes. None of the handles has come off (an issue I’ve had with previous brushes), and the synthetic bristles are just as soft as they were before use. The premium quality of the bristles allows the application of makeup to be a pleasurable experience.
These professional brushes come with a smart faux leather rollout pouch, which is incredibly easy to clean.

This delightful brush is one of the softest things that has ever graced my cheeks. Being the only white brush, this one is a stand out compared to the rest, making it even more special when you decide to use it.
This right here is my go-to foundation brush. I don't know why I'm so opposed to the flat ones, but I've always been a massive advocate for the round buffering or kabuki brushes.
This brush helps me create a flawless buffered coverage, allowing me to rock a glowy, dewy complexion.
Who doesn't love a good angled contour brush?! This brush is great for creating definition around the cheekbone, due to the angle of the bristles.
Top Tip: For a more defined cheekbone, pinch the top part of the bristles just under the metal whilst swooping your contour on.
This sweet little Kabuki brush is fantastic and has multiple uses. I use mine for buffing contour into my face to create a sleek and blended look. Also great for powdering the face!
This brush has two uses depending on the way you like to apply your makeup - it can be used as an angled eyeliner brush, or as an eyebrow brush. I prefer to use this for my eyebrows, as I like my angled liner brush to be as thin as possible (so I can achieve that fleeeeeeky eyeliner!)
This fan brush totally UPPED my highlighter game. It's super light and delicate so that you apply just the right amount of bedazzle to your cheekbones, brow bone, nose and cupid's bow.
There are 15 brushes in total in the kit, a flat foundation brush (which I don't use, despite how soft it is) a few eye shadow brushes, a concealer brush and a mini lip brush that comes with a metal cover so you can travel around with it.
I guess the gracious gurus of youtube were right after all! I am truly impressed with the quality of this brush kit and thrilled that I managed to find a cruelty free product that I love and recommend.
